We’ve picked these two National Garden Scheme locations in Sussex for their beautiful spring displays, distinctive garden characteristics and on-site nursery and plant sales.

At Great Dixter, we’ll have access to the House, Gardens and Nursery and can benefit from the inspirational talents of Lutyens and Christopher Lloyd, whose work is beautifully represented there.  Read more here: https://ngs.org.uk/view-garden/511

In the afternoon, at 47 Denman’s Lane we can focus on the intimate 1 acre “garden where plants star” created by Jim and Sue Stockwell and enjoy the delightful backdrop of Ashdown Forest. Read more here: https://ngs.org.uk/view-garden/34430

Our day begins with a 9:00 departure from the Marquis of Granby Pub on the Portsmouth Road. Buy your lunch at the café at Great Dixter or bring your own. Homemade afternoon tea is included in our visit to 47 Denman’s Lane. We will be back at about 18:00

The day includes coach travel, entrance at Great Dixter with house, garden and nursery, and entrance to 47 Denman’s Lane with afternoon tea.
